In Language Arts today the students were introduced to a program called Moby Max. \u00a0This program can be found on mobymax.com. \u00a0It is designed to help students improve their Language Arts and Math skills by providing them with additional support at their level. \u00a0Mrs. Cosenza and I will use this website frequently to assign homework. \u00a0For now, I would like my students to focus on getting used to the grammar and vocabulary sections. \u00a0I have my program set so that every time a student spends three minutes on an activity, they earn themselves one minute of game time from the game section. \u00a0I am not assigning homework from this website tonight but I will be tomorrow. \u00a0I encourage parents to explore this website with their children over the weekend. \u00a0Students have their username and password tapped to the inside of their planner for the convenience of families.<\/p>\n
During our mini lesson, the students focused on the comprehension strategy, “go back and reread.” \u00a0We discussed when it is appropriate to use and the value of the strategy. \u00a0We also modeled how to go back and reread. \u00a0The students were then given twenty minutes to practice Reading to Self.<\/p>\n
