Today in Language Arts the students reviewed chapters 19 through 23 of The Giver.<\/em> If the students didn’t finish characterizing Jonas after he becomes Receive of Memory, identifying themes in the story, and the anticipation guide post-reading reflection, it was assigned as homework.<\/p>\n

The students also need to finish organizing their ISN if they did not finish in class. I will be collecting these on Monday at the beginning of class to grade them.<\/p>\n

Lastly, we will be taking our final quiz on chapters 19 through 23 of The Giver<\/em> on Monday. Books that were borrowed from the school or classroom library MUST<\/strong> be turned in after the quiz or students WILL NOT<\/strong> be allowed to go to Levagood on Thursday.<\/p>\n

I have attached a list of everything that needs to be included in students interactive notebooks.<\/p>\n

  4. Finish identifying themes in The Giver<\/em> and use textual evidence to support your thinking<\/li>\n
  5. Finish organizing your ISN and have it ready to turn in on Monday<\/li>\n
  6. Have the Instagram Activity Rough Draft ready for me to check on Monday<\/li>\n
  7. Bring your school copy of The Giver<\/em> to turn in on Monday<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
