{"id":2946,"date":"2019-01-24T11:48:56","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T16:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/?p=2946"},"modified":"2019-01-24T11:48:56","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T16:48:56","slug":"thursday-january-24-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/2019\/01\/24\/thursday-january-24-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Thursday, January 24, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The students began NWEA testing today.\u00a0 We will be working on the reading test in class today and tomorrow.\u00a0 We will be taking the language on Monday and Tuesday.\u00a0 Make-up testing will be Wednesday.\u00a0 Then, on Thursday and Friday we will be taking our argumentative writing assessment.\u00a0 I know this is a lot but unfortunately, all of the testing must be done by the end of the day next Friday. I am giving the kids brain breaks so they are not sitting and testing for 100 minutes straight.\u00a0 That would be a lot!<\/p>\n<p>When the students are finished testing, they are working on the planning pages for their two narrative pieces; their greatest memory and a time they overcame a fear or challenge. They are also practicing identifying figurative language in their extra credit stories.
