In Language Arts today the students were introduced to The Giver<\/em>.\u00a0 We completed an anticipation guide and participated in a book strips activity where the students were given two to three sentences from The Giver<\/em> to read to their classmates.\u00a0 Based on the activities we did in class today, the students predicted what they thought the book was going to be about.\u00a0 We will begin reading the book in class on Monday.\u00a0 We will spend the rest of the school year focusing on analyzing this novel and using it as our class textbook.<\/p>\n
