Today in Language Arts the students spent time discussing figurative language in chapters 9-15 of The Giver. \u00a0We also added our findings to the figurative language board in our classroom.<\/p>\n

The students also spent time in their literature circles discussing chapters 13-15 and reading chapter 16. The guided questions for chapters 13-15 have been added to this blog post.<\/p>\n

All library books are due back tomorrow. \u00a0If a student has lost or damaged a library book, they will need to pay for it. \u00a0Students who wanted to return their library books today were given time to do so. I will not be collecting books from our classroom library until next Friday. \u00a0Students may still check out good fit books from our room.<\/p>\n
