{"id":1867,"date":"2017-04-10T08:28:09","date_gmt":"2017-04-10T12:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/?p=1867"},"modified":"2017-04-10T08:28:09","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T12:28:09","slug":"monday-april-10-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/trayloa\/2017\/04\/10\/monday-april-10-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Monday, April 10, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back from break!<\/p>\n<p>Today in Language Arts, the students reviewed their vocabulary words from &#8220;The Good Deed&#8221;. \u00a0We will continue reviewing the words throughout the course of the week and the quiz will be given this Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The students were also introduced to our new unit on Folktales. \u00a0We will be focusing on folktales and elements of a folktale over the course of the next two weeks. \u00a0We started by reading the short folktale, &#8220;Ant and Grasshopper&#8221; and learning about some of the different types of folktales.<\/p>\n<p>Since several students\u00a0did not complete the MSTEP Practice\u00a0over break.\u00a0I have extended the due date for this assignment to Thursday, April 13th. Students who had completed the assignment prior to class today were given two points of extra credit for completing the assignment on time.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great evening!<\/p>\n<p>Homework:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Read for 20 minutes<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;The Good Deed&#8221; Vocabulary Test Thursday, April 13th<\/li>\n<li>MSTEP Practice Due by 3:05 on Thursday, April 13th<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back from break!
