In Language Arts today the students peer edited their literary analysis for ideas and organization.<\/p>\n

The students also spent time in class finishing Tuck Everlasting.<\/p>\n

The MSTEP Assessment is going to be here before we know it! \u00a0All sixth graders were sent home with instructions today on an assignment they will be required to participate in over the break in order to prepare for the MSTEP. \u00a0This assignment was explained in class. \u00a0Students will be given 10 summative points upon their return from break for completing the assignment. Directions on how to show proof on the completion of this assignment are included in the note students were given and on this blog post.<\/p>\n

  2. Tuck Everlasting Chs. 19-Epilogue Quiz Thursday<\/li>\n
  3. Literary Analysis Final Draft Due Monday, April 3rd<\/li>\n
  4. MSTEP Practice Test Due Monday, April 3rd<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Follow the directions below:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    2. Click on \u201cSample Item Sets\u201d<\/li>\n
    3. Click on \u201cGrade 6\u201d, then \u201cEnglish Language Arts\u201d<\/li>\n
    4. Log in with the username and password provided on the page<\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Once logged in, click \u201cContinue\u201d and then \u201cELA Grade 6 Sample Items\u201d<\/li>\n
    6. The test will load and you will follow directions on the testing page from there<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Read the directions carefully<\/strong> and play around with the different tools it explains to you in the directions.<\/p>\n

      The Practice test is about 20 questions long. You can take it as many times as you would like, but the first time you complete it you have two options to earn credit in the\u00a0<\/strong>grade-book<\/b>:<\/p>\n

      BEFORE clicking \u201cexit\u201d you must:<\/p>\n

      1. Print the page<\/strong> that says \u201cCongratulations! You have completed Grade 6 ELA\u201d \u00a0and give it to your teacher<\/li>\n
      2. Take a picture or screen shot<\/strong> of the page that says\u00a0 \u201cCongratulations! You have completed Grade 6 ELA\u201d and email the picture to your teacher<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If you do not follow these directions you will not receive credit!<\/p>\n
