I am so excited to be back and I hope you are too! \u00a0We began the new year by doing a good fit book activity. \u00a0We reviewed what good fit books are as well as our reading strategy that we should be focusing on. \u00a0The students were given the opportunity to look at good fit books they may not have noticed in the classroom or library before. \u00a0Then, they were given time to go to the library and check out these good fit books.<\/p>\n<p>The students were also given their figurative language quizzes back. \u00a0We reviewed these in class. \u00a0The grades have been posted online for all of break.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the students were introduced to the theme of a story. \u00a0This is something we will be focusing on for the next few weeks of class.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great evening and once again, welcome back! \u00a0I hope we have a great 2016!<\/p>\n<p>Homework:<\/p>\n<p>1.
