{"id":1263,"date":"2018-10-29T16:30:33","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T20:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/traicod\/?page_id=1263"},"modified":"2020-01-08T08:06:51","modified_gmt":"2020-01-08T13:06:51","slug":"weekly-curricular-focus","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/traicod\/weekly-curricular-focus\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Curricular Focus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Week of January 6, 2020<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MATH:  This week we are in the middle of Module 3 and will learn division of 2-digit dividends by 1-digit divisors, finding whole number quotients as well as quotients with remainders.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ELA:  We will be practicing finding theme with literary stories and answering explicit questions about those stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOCIAL STUDIES:  We begin Unit 5 this week, which focuses on Our Government:  why we need government, looking at the US Constitution, and how the government is set up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SCIENCE:  We begin our study of earth science and soil exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WRITING:  We begin informational writing this week with a &#8220;cold&#8221; pre-write to determine what students already know about informational writing.  Students will be writing a state report as they learn about informational writing.
