Monday 11-7-16<\/p>\n

Homework tonight:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Complete math hw page 103-104 from your Practice and Problem Solving Book. \u00a0Parents your child is also bringing home pages 101-102 to explain what we are learning.<\/li>\n
  2. Read for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n
  3. Sign your child’s math and science test (if you haven’t already) and return to school on Wednesday.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    No School tomorrow 11-8-16<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This week in school we will be learning the following:<\/p>\n

    Daily 5 Cafe: We are focusing on non-fiction text and learning to sort important facts from opinions and unimportant facts.<\/p>\n

    Writing: We are beginning our informational papers on bats- we have been learning about them last week and today.<\/p>\n

    Math: We are moving on to telling time, counting money (change), and 3 digit numbers with base ten blocks. \u00a0Students struggled with finding the missing addend, and writing a subtraction problem that goes with an addition problem on our test last weekend. \u00a0We will continue to work on this during math workshop this month.<\/p>\n

    Science: We are beginning our new unit on water- this week we are focusing on the 3 states of water.<\/p>\n

    Social studies: We are working on reading maps with symbols.<\/p>\n

    Monday<\/span><\/span>: pizza pm \u00a0THANKSGIVING CANNED FOOD DRIVE CONTINUES! On Friday<\/span><\/span> Ms. Earle’s class was in the lead with Mrs. Gartha’s class a close second. Let’s see who sweeps it this Friday<\/span><\/span>!\u00a0 Please send Thanksgiving food items mostly. Canned veggies, boxed mashed potatoes, rice, cranberry sauce, gravy.<\/p>\n

    Tuesday<\/span><\/span>:\u00a0No School. Make sure to go vote! PTA Bake sale fundraiser<\/p>\n

    Wednesday<\/span><\/span>:\u00a0School Store<\/p>\n

    Thursday<\/span><\/span>:\u00a03rd Grade Competition Bake Sale<\/p>\n

    Parent Teacher Conferences 4-7pm<\/span><\/span>. Please be on time for your appointment with the teacher.<\/p>\n
