  1. Practice addition and subtraction flash cards (bring math bags back tomorrow)<\/li>\n
  2. Do a weekly spelling assignment- I reposted the spelling BINGO sheet last week if you had lost yours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This week in class we are learning about the following:<\/p>\n

    ELA: Plural words (regular nouns and irregular nouns); long and short o words; fiction story elements.<\/p>\n

    Spelling:<\/p>\n

    5. our<\/li>\n

      Math: We are learning about addition and subtraction fact families- Please work on addition and subtraction with your child: he\/she is bringing home their math bags.<\/p>\n

      Science: Matter: specifically measuring with rulers, measuring tapes, beakers, and measuring cups.<\/p>\n

      Social Studies: We are continuing to learn about communities. A study guide will come home next week- The test will be the first week\u00a0of November.<\/p>\n

      Writing: It is our final week of narrative writing. The students are finishing their narratives that take place at their favorite location in Dearborn.<\/p>\n

      Important NOTES:<\/p>\n

      -Our second grade parent meeting is Thursday at 9:00 AM. It will end at 10:00. Please plan on joining us if possible.<\/p>\n

      -Friday is a 1\/2 Day. \u00a0School gets out at 11:45<\/p>\n
