It is not a test but will be a mini project that involves lots of coloring and fun! Even though it will be fun, I still need you to take it seriously, like you would a test. Please make sure to study your vocabulary and practice identifying the parts of a plot over the weekend. Watch some television with your friends! Practice figuring out the parts of a plot for an episode of your favorite tv show.<\/p>\n<p>See you Monday!<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Timpf<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plot Vocabulary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Plot &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> narrative arc of a story; what happens in the story<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Protagonist &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the main character in a story<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Antagonist &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opponent of the protagonist; stands against the main character<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Exposition &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">introduction of a story; introduces setting, characters, and problem <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rising Action &#8211;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> suspense builds and the problem becomes more complicated <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Climax- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the turning point of the story; where the character must face their problem<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Falling Action &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">events following the climax<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Resolution &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the outcome of the story; how things end up<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
