We are about one month away from the last day of school.  How wild is that?!  As always, thank you for your participation in supporting your child&#8217;s academic development this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Did We Learn About This Week?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;The Letter Y Song&quot; by ABCmouse.com\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bZC3a6GnwTo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our letter this week was Y.  We talked about the sound Y makes, as well as words that start with Y (yellow, yo-yo, yodeling, yolk, yarn, etc.).  How many items in your house start with letter Y?  I challenge you to find as many items as you can that start with Y!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.freepik.com\/free-vector\/dinosaur-clipart-collection-cartoon-dinosaurs_43314-2312.jpg?w=2000\" alt=\"Premium Vector | Dinosaur clipart. collection of cartoon dinosaurs.\" width=\"365\" height=\"365\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We had so much fun learning about dinosaurs this week!  The students were archeologists this week, as they searched for dinosaur bones.  When they found the bones, they had to match them to the fossil images to determine what type of dinosaur it was.    Furthermore, the students made their own dinosaur fossils with Play-Doh!   The students looked at images of dinosaur bones and fossils and created their own dinosaurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students practiced their art skills by drawing pictures of dinosaurs with chalk.  We brought dinosaurs outside one day.  The students looked at the dinosaurs and used them as models as they drew their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex We will be exploring a pond study.
