Wow… I cannot believe it is the end of the school year. What a crazy year it has been! We all took on new and unexpected challenges during these uncertain times.

As I reflect on this year, I think about and appreciate the positives. In December 2019, I graduated from University of Michigan-Dearborn with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education, along with my teaching certifications. I became part of the Cotter and Salina family shortly after and began teaching my first class. I remember feeling excited to meet and work with your child! Each and every student brought a unique personality that strengthened our classroom community. Before we knew it, we took our learning to a remote basis. You became a key part in your child’s learning development. And for that, I thank you! Without your cooperation and support, none of this would be possible. I thank you for the phone calls, pictures, and Remind messages. It was wonderful to see and hear the progress your child made during this time.

I enjoyed being your child’s teacher this year, and I wish them the best of luck as they continue their academic development! Have a wonderful summer!

Announcements

Before we start our last activity of the 2019-2020 school year, here are some announcements…

Free Meal Distribution in the Summer
Dearborn Public Schools will continue to do free meal distributions during the summer. To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process. Here is the Work Time process:

Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child’s ability to organize their time by having them make a “plan” with you about what they would like to play with. Children do this everyday with us at school.
