Thank you for your participation and cooperation during this remote learning period!  This would not be possible without your participation.  It looks like we are going to have a beautiful weekend!  Here are some suggestions you and your child can do this weekend.  First, here are some announcements&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, June 8: Last Activities<\/strong><br>I will post the <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">last<\/span> <\/strong>activities on my blog on Monday, June 8.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Work survey for Ms. Lall<\/strong><br>If you have not completed the survey from Ms. Lall, please do so.  <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/12gFmRDyQNXfdRRuDVSl5aO4yn3T4IIWk6ksvGODTzS8\/viewform?edit_requested=true\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to access the survey.  Here are a couple of notes to help you complete the survey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For the question, &#8220;Where are you a student from?&#8221; please select, &#8220;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Cotter<\/span><\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li><li>For the question, &#8220;Which class is your student in?&#8221; please type my name, &#8220;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Thompson<\/span><\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Meal Distribution in the Summer<br><\/strong>Dearborn Public Schools will continue to do free meal distributions during the summer. Distributions will be held at Salina Intermediate every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for children 18 years old and younger. Each meal will contain seven lunches and a gallon of milk. As a reminder, the Dearborn Public School&#8217;s park equiptment and sports fields are temporarily <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">closed<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are unable to go outside, here are some activities you can do inside:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cosmic Kids Yoga:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/CosmicKidsYoga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here<\/a>&nbsp;to access Cosmic Kids Yoga! There are many yoga activities you and your child can do to stretch and relax your mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go Noodle Games:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gonoodle.com\/blog\/gonoodle-games-movement-app-for-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a>&nbsp;to access Go Noodle Games! They have many ideas for games you and your child can do at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koo Koo Kangaroo YouTube Channel:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/kookookangaroo\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a>&nbsp;to access Koo Koo Kangaroo\u2019s YouTube Channel! Koo Koo Kangaroo is a favorite in Room 108! They have a lot of dance videos your child will enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Field Trip: Georgia Aquarium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a field trip to the Georgia Aquarium!  They have live webcams featuring their sea animals.  <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.georgiaaquarium.org\/at-home-learning-with-georgia-aquarium\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to go to the aquarium!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science Experiment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What if I told you that you can make it snow in June?  That sounds crazy, right!  Well, you can with this science experiment!  Here are the materials you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Baking soda<\/li><li>Shaving cream<\/li><li>Vinegar<\/li><li>Plastic container<\/li><li>Spoon or anything to mix the ingredients together<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Put 1 cup of baking soda in the plastic container.<\/li><li>Add some shaving cream (enough to cover the top of the baking soda).<\/li><li>Mix the baking soda and shaving cream together.<\/li><li>After mixing the ingredients together, take the &#8220;snow&#8221; out of the container and play with it!<\/li><li>For extra fun, add a small amount of vinegar to your snow!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This YouTube video explains the directions and shows you what the snow will look like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Preschool Science Experiment: Let It Snow!\" width=\"644\" height=\"362\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hx0oKt5hfFA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I encourage your child to engage in imaginary play for at least 60 minutes a day.
