For those who picked up their child&#8217;s materials and\/or picked up a GSRP application at Salina yesterday, it was wonderful seeing you!  Before we start today&#8217;s activities, here are some announcements&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Personal Phone Calls for TODAY, Tuesday, June 2, 2020<br><\/strong>Mrs. Askar and I will be calling families who scheduled a Tuesday phone call TODAY from 12:00-3:00 PM.  We will be calling from a blocked phone number, so please do not be alarmed.  If you miss our call, we will leave a message on your voicemail.<br>Today, we will be discussing the Kindergarten\/Young 5&#8217;s transition PowerPoint I sent on Friday. Today, let&#8217;s talk about what we see in the summer!  We see many things in the summer months: bugs, sunshine, friends and family playing outside, and much more! To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process. Here is the Work Time process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. You need these materials to make a sensory bag:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ZipLock bag(s)<\/li><li>Shaving Cream<\/li><li>Tape (to seal the bags more securely)<\/li><li>Optional Items:<ul><li>Food coloring (for color)<\/li><li>Beads<\/li><li>Rocks<\/li><li>Coins<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the directions to make sensory bags:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fill up the ZipLock bag with shaving cream.  (If you are using food coloring, it may be best to mix the food coloring in with the shaving cream before putting it in the bag.)<\/li><li>Put any optional materials in the bag with the shaving cream.<\/li><li>Seal the ZipLock bag.  Place tape over the bag to make it more secure.<\/li><li>Play!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outdoor Exploration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today will be a beautiful day! I encourage you and your child to go outside for 60 minutes today. As a reminder, the Dearborn Public Schools playground equipment and sports fields are&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">closed<\/span><\/strong>.
