Here are some announcements before today&#8217;s activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phone Calls and Personal Activities<\/strong><br>I will be sending your child&#8217;s personal activities on Remind this morning.<br>Mrs. Askar and I will be calling families scheduled for Tuesdays from 12-3 PM.  Our phone numbers will be blocked, so please do not be alarmed.  If you need us to call you back please message me on Remind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4 Year Old Preschool Registration<br><\/strong>If you have a child who is 4 years old OR you know someone who has a 4 year old child, and would like to enroll them in preschool, Dearborn Public Schools offers a Free Preschool Program. The first number in the teen numbers is 11.  This is the number the students are going to learn about today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, watch this video about 11:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jYwfeGY-lzM\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After watching the video, I encourage your child to do these two things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Count 11 items in your house (examples: 11 forks, 11 coins, 11 steps, etc.).<\/li><li>Write the number 11 three times.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I encourage your child to engage in imaginary play for at least 60 minutes a day. To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process. Here is the Work Time process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.\u00a0 Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. You and your child can make a cutting bin!  Here are the materials you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An empty bin<\/li><li>Scissors<\/li><li>Paper (newspaper, magazines, regular paper)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>First, put all the paper in the empty bin.  Next, give your child scissors and encourage them to cut the paper inside of the bin.  This activity will help strengthen the muscles in your child&#8217;s fingers and can help them cut with precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outdoor Exploration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be chillier today, but it is still nice to go outside!  As always, I \u00a0encourage you and your child to go outside for at least 60 minutes today. The Dearborn Public Schools parks and sports fields are still\u00a0<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">closed<\/span><\/strong>.
