We made it through another week of online learning!  I want to thank you all for your patience and cooperation during this time.  Here are some announcements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Meal Distribution<\/strong><br>Salina Intermediate School will be hosting their free meal distribution from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM today (Friday, April 24).  The following is a NEW schedule for the free meal distribution at Salina Intermediate school:<br><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong>Monday<\/strong><\/span>: 12:00 PM-2:00 PM<br><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Wednesday<\/span><\/strong>: 12:00 PM-2:00 PM<br><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Friday<\/span><\/strong>: 12:00 PM-2:00 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Heat and Warmth Fund (&#8220;THAW&#8221;)<\/strong><br>THAW is administering a program that will pay up to $500 in utilities costs for Michigan&#8217;s essential workers.  Here is more information about this program: <a href=\"https:\/\/thawfund.org\/\">https:\/\/thawfund.org\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chromebook Distribution<\/strong><br>On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, Salina School will be holding a Chromebook distribution from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. An adult or older sibling must be there to pick up the Chromebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Google Meet<\/strong><br>I sincerely apologize to say that Google Meet is temporarily suspended for the district due to technical difficulties.  As mentioned in the phone calls yesterday, I was hoping to have a Google Meet video chat with the students on Wednesday, April 29 at 2:30 PM.  If the issues are resolved before April 29, we will have our video chat. <strong> If the issues are not resolved, then we will reschedule the video chat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suggested Weekend Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s give our brains a break this weekend!  Just to give your family some ideas to do this weekend, here are some suggestions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go Outside!<\/strong><br>We may be seeing some rain this weekend, however, there will be periods of warm weather and sunshine.  As always, I encourage you and your child to go outside for at least 60 minutes a day.  The Dearborn Public Schools&#8217; parks and sports fields are still <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">closed<\/span><\/strong>. To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process.  Here is the Work Time process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Planning Time (5 minutes): Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.\u00a0 Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts.
