Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.  COVID-19 has caused a lot of unknowns that we were not prepared for, so I greatly appreciate your cooperation during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like if we were at school in person, Friday starts the weekend!  I do not have any specific activities for you and your child to do at home today, however, I do have a list of suggested activities you can do over the weekend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go on a virtual field trip to the Houston Zoo!  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonzoo.org\/explore\/webcams\/\">Click here<\/a> to access the Houston Zoo&#8217;s webcams featuring various animals they have.<\/li><li>Get some fresh air!  I encourage everyone to go outside and get exercise for at least 60 minutes a day.  Sometimes the weather prevents us from going outside.  If that happens, here are some great resources to use to get exercise:<ul><li>GoNoodle:  GoNoodle is a great website that we use at school!  There are a lot of interactive dance videos that promote exercise and dance <a href=\"https:\/\/family.gonoodle.com\/\">https:\/\/family.gonoodle.com\/<\/a> <\/li><li>Cosmic Kids Yoga: Cosmic Kids Yoga has many kid-friendly themed yoga videos that teaches mindfulness and stretches your child can do at home  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/CosmicKidsYoga\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/CosmicKidsYoga<\/a> <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Practice writing your name!  All students should be writing their name every day.  In addition to writing their names, the students should identify each letter in their name.<\/li><li>Starfall: Starfall is a great website and app your child can use for extra learning.  I recommend using Starfall for at least 10 minutes a day.  Here are some activities on Starfall I recommend your child using:<ul><li>ABC&#8217;s: As we continue to learn our alphabet, I encourage the students to play Starfall&#8217;s ABC game.  I recommend the students only doing letters A-H, however, they can do more if they would like:  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.starfall.com\/h\/abcs\/\">https:\/\/www.starfall.com\/h\/abcs\/<\/a> <\/li><li>Numbers: I encourage the students to practice numbers 1-20.  Again, they can do more numbers if they would like:  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.starfall.com\/h\/numbers\/\">https:\/\/www.starfall.com\/h\/numbers\/<\/a> <\/li><li>Let&#8217;s Make a Calendar: At school, we learn about the calendar every day.
