Kindergarteners are continuing to work on their Art Alphabet Books. \u00a0Pages for “A”, “H”, “L”, “T” will be created in the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n
Please look in the Main Hall for student masterpieces as influenced by Impressionist Painter Vincent VanGogh, Monet and Seurat.<\/p>\n
All grade levels will begin the Architecture Unit. \u00a0We will look at architecture of many styles and what the job of an architect is.<\/p>\n
Kindergarten – Collage House<\/p>\n
1st grade – printmaking<\/p>\n
2nd grade – drawing, painting, ink.<\/p>\n
3rd grade – Cityscape. \u00a0Perspective skyscrapers reinforcing math concepts through application. \u00a0Color mixing value – tints and shades.<\/p>\n
4th grade – dream houses. \u00a0Reinforcing math concepts through application. \u00a0Colored Pencil<\/p>\n
5th grade – 3D house. \u00a0Reinforcing math concepts through application. \u00a0Kleenex and other small boxes. \u00a0Crayon resist. \u00a0Collage. \u00a0Unity and contrast.<\/p>\n
Of special interest – The water bottle donations! \u00a0Thank you to all who have contributed! \u00a0Some classes will begin the Chihuly study school-wide this week. \u00a0This will be an installation that most students will contribute to as they complete their current art units.<\/p>\n
