We have several instances of students and staff with the same name. In order to help clear up some of the confusion, we are implementing pre-appending <strong>Student:<\/strong> to all students.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, this doesn&#8217;t seem to show up in the Gmail Compose window, but does show up in Contacts.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technology.dearbornschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2016\/04\/Google-Contacts-2016-04-03-19-58-09.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1537\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1537\" src=\"https:\/\/technology.dearbornschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2016\/04\/Google-Contacts-2016-04-03-19-58-09.jpg\" alt=\"example of contact that starts with Student:\" width=\"924\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2016\/04\/Google-Contacts-2016-04-03-19-58-09.jpg 924w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2016\/04\/Google-Contacts-2016-04-03-19-58-09-300x69.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2016\/04\/Google-Contacts-2016-04-03-19-58-09-768x177.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 924px) 100vw, 924px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Naturally, you should note the difference in gmail addresses (staff has a very different pattern than students).<\/p>\n<p>Once everything is processed and in sync, users can start email with <strong>Student:<em> Student Name\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>(where Student Name is an actual name).\u00a0<\/em> This doesn&#8217;t help with just typing the name of an adult staff member and seeing a student though (again, please look for the appropriate email address pattern).<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, this will be one more clue to assist all of our users.<\/p>\n<p>We are working on implementing some other features to assist in identifying staff and students.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Please note that this is still rolling out and not all students will have the pre-appended\u00a0<strong>Student:\u00a0<\/strong> yet.
