\u00a0Yep! \u00a0You can have a nice clean homepage and have all your blog posts appear on a different page within your blog. \u00a0That is exactly what the folks in the ELL department decided to do. \u00a0To make this happen on your website do the following.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create two pages: \u00a0Home and News<\/li>\n<li>Go to Dashboard &gt; Settings &gt; Reading. \u00a0On the Reading Page change the Front Page Displays &#8220;Your Latest Posts&#8221;\u00a0to \u00a0&#8220;A static page&#8221;. \u00a0Then from the drop down pick &#8220;home&#8221; for frontpage and &#8220;news&#8221; for posts page.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure to scroll down the page and Save your changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Custom Menu<\/h2>\n<p>The custom menu allows you to organize links on the site. \u00a0You can add links to pages, post categories, and other websites. \u00a0The nice part of the custom menu is that it is all organized by drag and drop. \u00a0You get to determine the order and can even create drop downs by simply moving a link to the right. \u00a0Here is an image of what a custom menu looks like.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technology.dearbornschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/ellcustom-menu.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1359\" src=\"https:\/\/technology.dearbornschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/ellcustom-menu-1024x638.png\" alt=\"ellcustom menu\" width=\"665\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/ellcustom-menu-1024x638.png 1024w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/ellcustom-menu-300x187.png 300w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2015\/10\/ellcustom-menu.png 1084w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Notice the indented menu items? \u00a0These are the drop downs that are generated when viewing the website. \u00a0To build your custom menu you select items from the right column and add them to the menu. \u00a0Once in the menu the item can be moved around simply by dragging it from place to place. \u00a0Each theme is a little different so you have to tell your theme to use the custom menu. \u00a0This is especially true when switching themes.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. iBlog allows you to have control over the user experience. You can customize your site as you want.
