Also, please encourage your child to read daily at home for at least 20 minutes.\u00a0 We will be holding a book reading contest this month.\u00a0 For every book or chapter completed, your child can fill out a book report form and submit it to be entered into a raffle for many great prizes including gift cards and a new bike.\u00a0 The more books completed, the more chances to win.\u00a0 Students will also have a chance to enter the raffle each time they complete an i-Ready lesson with a passing score.<\/p>\n<p>We will be taking the writing WIDA test on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>There is a PTA meeting Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Here is how our week looks:<\/p>\n<p>Math:\u00a0 We are learning multiple strategies for multiplication and division practice.\u00a0 Please continue having your child practice with flashcards daily.\u00a0 We will be taking our mid-module assessment on Friday.\u00a0 A study guide will come home on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Science:\u00a0 We will be studying natural weather hazards with a focus on flooding.\u00a0 We will look at cause and effect relationships and analyze possible solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies:\u00a0 We will continue our unit on economics.\u00a0 We will take our test late next week.<\/p>\n<p>Reading:\u00a0 We will focus on character actions and point of view.<\/p>\n<p>Writing:\u00a0 We will continue working on our opinion writing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March is reading month!\u00a0 Check out the calendar your child made and has in their folder to keep up with daily activities and spirit wear or the school calendar \u2013\u00a0March-is-Reading-Month-Calendar-2019\u00a0.
