This week we have late start on Wednesday.\u00a0 \u00a0School will begin at 9:35 instead of 8:35 that day.\u00a0 Reminder- all field trip permission slips and money are due by Wednesday.\u00a0 If you would like to chaperone, please note that it is also $14 for you.\u00a0 We are hoping to have several chaperones per class to help manage the kids.\u00a0 The apple orchard is always a fun time.\u00a0 Another friendly reminder that we have gym on WEDNESDAYS.\u00a0 Some kids are forgetting to wear their gym shoes on those days.\u00a0 Please help them remember.\u00a0 It was great seeing so many families during Open House last week.\u00a0 We have another busy week ahead.\u00a0 Here is what we will be working on this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Math:\u00a0 We will continue to work with multiplication and division.\u00a0 We will focus on the distributive property.\u00a0 There will be a mid-module assessment on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Science:\u00a0 We are learning about forces.\u00a0 Forces are all around us.\u00a0 Ask your child what forces are working to keep things on the table, as well as, what forces make things fall off the table and unto the ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Social Studies:\u00a0 We will be focusing on natural characteristics of Michigan by examining Michigan\u2019s landforms and bodies of water.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading:\u00a0 We are learning how to recount stories including fables, folktales, and myths.\u00a0 We are also learning how to determine the moral of a story.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Writing:\u00a0 We will be working on true stories.\u00a0 This week we will focus on setting a writing goal, learning how to organize our writing, and how to write leads.<\/strong><\/p>\n
