Today the “Student Learning Goals” sheet with the NWEA scores are coming home. Please look them over with your child and help them set a goal that could be attainable by January (example: improve in math by learning the steps of traditional division, improve language by learning new things in the mentor sentences, improve informational reading by reading nonfiction material three times a week…). Please sign them and return them to school, please help me make this a positive goal setting experience for your child and not a huge pressure building task – they are children and sometimes all this testing… .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Book orders also went home today. They are due back on Friday, please send cash only. The larger the order I get from the class the more books the classroom will earn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have had a few parents ask if our classroom needs anything. We really could use colored copy paper and colored cardstock paper. We use it all the time for class assignments and foldables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
