Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions???\u00a0 I have!!! One of my main resolutions is to BE HAPPY!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n Testing:<\/strong>\u00a0 Just a couple of reminders:\u00a0 Basketball hand dribble and jump roping tests will begin next.\u00a0 We’ll practice every P.E. Day, but you should be practicing every day at home, too!<\/p>\n Mitten Tree:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the last week we will be collecting for the Mitten Tree.\u00a0 If you can donate any new gloves, scarves, hats, socks or mittens, that would be great!\u00a0 We will take them to Starfish Family Services next week!<\/p>\n Running Club:\u00a0<\/strong> I will be handing out permission slips to the Running Club Members for the Martian Marathon Kids Race (on Sat.\u00a0 April 9th) next week!\u00a0 They will need to be turned in to me by mid-February in order to get the discount price of $15.00.<\/p>\n Jump Rope For Heart:<\/strong>\u00a0 Information will be coming out soon!\u00a0 New this year – puppies instead of ducks!\u00a0 JRFH will be held in P.E. Classes the week of Feb. 8 – 12, 2016!<\/p>\n The end of this 2nd Marking Period<\/strong> is January 29, 2016.\u00a0 Wow, we’re almost halfway through the school year.\u00a0 Time flies when you’re learning and having fun!<\/p>\n HEALTHY TIDBIT :<\/strong>\u00a0 Hand washing is important for your health!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n -Hand washing should become a habit you do often!\u00a0 Hands get dirty even though you can’t see the dirt and germs.<\/p>\n -Washing your hands is one of the best ways to keep you from getting sick.<\/p>\n -You should wash your hands before you eat and after you blow your nose or use the bathroom, or after you do anything that gets them dirty.<\/p>\n -Make sure to wash your hands WITH SOAP AND WATER for as long as it takes you to sing your ABC’s.<\/p>\n -When washing your hands, don’t forget to wash your palms and backs of your hands and under your fingernails – the whole hand.<\/p>\n -Turn off the water by using the paper towel you used to dry your hands.<\/p>\n -You can use hand sanitizer if you aren’t able to wash your hands.\u00a0 Just make sure to use just enough to wet your hands all over and rub your hands until they are dry – just as if you were washing them!<\/p>\n AND BY THE WAY – DON’T FORGET WHEN YOU COUGH OR SNEEZE, COUGH OR SNEEZE\u00a0 INTO YOUR ELBOW!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Happy New Year to all!!!
