Class outdoors! \u00a0We will be working on a variety of skills in each grade:<\/p>\n<p><strong>K &#8211; 2:<\/strong> \u00a0We will be working on skipping and throwing and with throwing also comes catching. \u00a0Compassion is the Personal\/Social Characteristic of the marking period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd:<\/strong> \u00a0Throwing and catching are the main skills we will be working on, plus a little batting. \u00a0Compassion is also the Personal\/Social Characteristic for this grade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4th and 5th:<\/strong> \u00a0Batting is the main skill in these grades, along with throwing and catching. \u00a0Sit ups will be practiced every gym day in order to strengthen each student&#8217;s \u00a0core muscles. \u00a0Constructive Competition, which another word for Good Sportsmanship is the Personal Social Characteristic for these grades.<\/p>\n<p>What would the 4th marking period be without kick ball? \u00a0This is a great game for reviewing kicking and catching skills and for learning the rules of baseball. \u00a04th and 5th grade will also be playing some whiffle ball.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the 4th Marking Period &#8211; the last marking period of the school year! \u00a0The marking period where we will finally be able to have P.E.
