You must use a legitimate source of information such as the newspaper, an article you find on the internet under a <\/b><b><i>news<\/i><\/b><b> website, or a magazine such as National Geographic, Time or Newsweek.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Use your imagination! \u00a0Be creative!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Projects can include but are not limited to poster\u2019s, Power Point\u2019s, Prezi\u2019s, diorama\u2019s, mobile\u2019s, cartoon\u2019s, brochure, etc. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Detailed Procedure<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b> \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>Choose your current events article<\/b><b>. \u00a0The article should be at least two paragraphs long and have enough information to answer who, what, when, where, why, and how. \u00a0In addition you will also need to form an opinion about the current event. If you can\u2019t form an opinion on the topic, then the article is not a good choice. <\/b><\/li>\n<li><b> \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b>Cut out or print the article<\/b><b>. \u00a0It should be included somewhere on your current event project or turned in with your rubric. \u00a0Articles cannot be older than one month from the day they are due unless I have approved it ahead of time.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Ex: \u00a0An October 18 current event project cannot use an article older than Sept. 18. <\/b><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b> \u00a0\u00a0Be sure to include\/write your <\/b><b>source<\/b><b>, including the following information:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Date of article<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Name of magazine, newspaper, website, etc.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Name of author<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Page numbers of article<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b> \u00a0\u00a0Write a summary of the article using your own words. Your summary should be <\/b><b>elaborative and descriptive<\/b><b> \u00a0and a <\/b><b><i>minimum<\/i><\/b><b> of 10 sentences long. <\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>****Answer the questions: who, what, when, where, why, how?<\/b><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b> \u00a0\u00a0Write a second \u2018opinion\u2019 paragraph that is a <\/b><b><i>minimum<\/i><\/b><b> of 4-6 sentences long. \u00a0Answer the following questions:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>a. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Why did you choose the article?<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>b. \u00a0Was the article interesting to you?<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>c. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0How did the article make you feel?
