The Band and String competition, called the MSBOA festival is on March 10. It is at Riverside Middle School in Dearborn Heights. The students will be taking a bus to and from the event, leave at approximately 3:30 pm. The strings play promptly at 4:30 and the band promptly at 6:00 pm.<\/p>\n
Please come and support our students at their only competition of the year. Four judges will give us a rating based on a rubric of criteria. We are awarded a rating from Division One (I) which is the highest, to a Division Four (IV) which is the lowest possible.<\/p>\n

Rating System<\/p>\n
I – Superior. Group plays music with excellent musicianship and skill. Highest rating.<\/p>\n
II – Excellent. Group plays music well and is approximately where they should be.<\/p>\n
III- Progressing. Group is progressing, but has some obvious areas of deficiency.<\/p>\n
