Watch the following song.  After watching the song, practice writing 5 uppercase B&#8217;s and 5 lowercase b&#8217;s.  Then draw 2 pictures of things that start with Bb and write your words under your pictures. This will be the body for our math monster!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/stortini\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1142\/2020\/04\/15867842548254497624986440153439-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2226\"\/><figcaption>Make sure there is space around the oval to add body parts!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, have your child roll the dice or choose a number card. For each number that they pull, your child will add a body part according to this list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 -add an eye<\/li><li>2 \u2013 add an ear<\/li><li>3- add an arm<\/li><li>4- add a leg<\/li><li>5- add a mouth<\/li><li>6- add a nose<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/stortini\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1142\/2020\/04\/15867844407024703350550337825913-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2227\"\/><figcaption>I rolled a 6 so I added a nose!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Roll or pull a number card at least 10 times, but you can do more if you want! When you are done color your picture and give your monster a name. Have your child try to write the name on their paper. Parents can help with spelling, but please make sure your child is the one writing the name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are done send me a picture of your monster.  I can&#8217;t wait to see all  your math monsters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Worktime<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Plan for Work Time (playtime):<\/strong>&nbsp; Build your child\u2019s ability to organize their time by having them make a \u201cplan\u201d with you about what they would like to play with.&nbsp; Children do this everyday with us at school.&nbsp; It helps children learn to organize their thoughts.
