It is a day to celebrate Math&#8217;s most famous number represented by a symbol. The number that Pi represents is irrational\u00a0<strong>\u00a0(3.1415\u2026)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will be learning about Pi and engaging ourselves in many Pi Day activities.<\/p>\n<p>You may want to memorize these fun facts!!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pi<\/strong> is used to calculate the <strong>area and circumference of a circle<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Albert Einstein<\/strong> was born in Germany on\u00a0<em><strong>March 14th<\/strong><\/em>, 1879<\/li>\n<li>Ancient Greek Mathematician, Archimedes, was one of the first scholars to calculate pi<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0It took 1,000 years to prove pi irrational.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The first people to refer to the ratio between the diameter and circumference of a circle were the Ancient Egyptians.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;I prefer pi&#8221; is a palindrome.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Albert Einstein was born on Pi Day, 1879.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a022\/7 is sometimes used to estimate pi.<\/li>\n<li>The first major Pi Day celebration was in 1988<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Pi has been calculated past the two\u00a0quadrillionth\u00a0digit.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0P and pi are both the 16th letters in their alphabets.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0You can likely find your phone number in pi.Here&#8217;s the site that searches for\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0it:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/angio.net\/pi\/\">https:\/\/angio.net\/pi\/<\/a>.
