It is great for making a snowman!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling Pattern<\/strong> &#8211; ending digraphs &#8211; ch, th, sh, tch<\/p>\n<p><em>each, bunch, match, patch, dish, wish, lunch, beach, with, math<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sight words &#8211; <em>four, around, wash, found, best<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We are so excited to present the<strong> 2nd Grade Concert to you on Friday, December 16, at 2:30 in the main cafeteria<\/strong>. Please be on time and remember to turn off your cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>We will be decorating gingerbread houses on Wednesday, December 21st, beginning at 1:15. You are welcome to come in and help. \u00a0I will be sending a note home with more information.<\/p>\n<p>We will be taking a \u201cMad Minute\u201d each Friday\u00a0in class, with the goal to improve \u00a0our personal speeds and accuracy of our basic addition facts. There are a lot of websites that would be appropriate for this practice, as well as the traditional flashcards. Automaticity in math facts is fundamental to success in many areas of higher mathematics (and third grade). We are starting with addition facts to 10 and then will increase the difficulty level.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, December 21st, is a late start.
