Story problems will be introduced this week. Students are encouraged to draw pictures to help them solve problems. Students will also be asked to prove why a number is even or odd by drawing a picture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I will be sending home a study guide for the first unit test in Social Studies, Our Community. Please read over the practice guide with your child several times. Our test will be on Wednesday, October 26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are continuing to learn about the properties of matter.
