at the Dearborn Historical Museum. We had the opportunity to plant a corn, pumpkin, or bean seed. \u00a0Making butter was a favorite of all the students. They enjoyed tasting the butter on a cracker. We visited the Gardner House and saw an interesting way to make toast. We got to see many artifacts from the past in the school room. \u00a0The students used a slate and chalk, read from a McGuffey\u00a0Reader, and read a map of the Michigan area. \u00a0Overall, it was a terrific field trip.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a very nice morning at the Dearborn Historical Museum.
