It is really important that students are get enough sleep every night. Second graders need 10-12 hours of sleep each night\u00a0 and should be going to bed by 8:30 to get\u00a0 a good nights sleep. Many students lay their heads on their desks during the school day. A bedtime routine will help students calm their bodies and minds to get ready for sleep. The bedtime routine can include reading before bed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Weekly Spelling Words<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This week we will have 15 words on our spelling list. Students should be studying their words daily at home as part of their homework.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Pattern words &#8211; <em>cap, cape, hat, hate, at, ate, mad, made, tap, tape<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sight words- <em>ask, take, as, fast, after<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">The Henry Ford Open House is Thursday, September 13, from 6:00-7:30.\u00a0 Hope to see you there!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Morning!\u00a0 This is our first full week of school.
