READING-Week 2 of Unit 7 \u00a0\u00a0SEASONS<\/strong><\/p>\n WRITING-We’ll be writing Questions and Answers.\u00a0\u00a0After writing, \u00a0students are taught to reread the sentences and ask themselves, “Does that make sense?” \u00a0If not, revise it. \u00a0Then edit it for spelling and punctuation.<\/p>\n SPELLING-Sorry about missing last week’s test! \u00a0Augh…just cramming in so many extras on Friday lead me to forgetting all about the Spelling test. \u00a0We made corn muffins with Mr. Marks ( a dear friend of mine who just retired from teaching last June. \u00a0He so enjoys kids so he pops in every now and then. \u00a0I never really know when he’s coming but we always have a great time together.) \u00a0We did some Math and Science along with the baking. \u00a0We had 4 choices of condiments to enjoy with our muffins. \u00a0We predicted which topping would be the favorite–butter, honey, maple syrup, or milk. \u00a0After eating the muffins, we made a graph of our favorite. \u00a0Guess which one was the favorite? \u00a0Ask your Kindergartener \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n I digressed-sorry. \u00a0Spelling words for this week are from the\u00a0an\u00a0<\/strong>family. \u00a0fan \u00a0 man \u00a0 pan \u00a0 tan \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Our reading and Spelling Words- \u00a0and \u00a0 what<\/strong><\/p>\n SOCIAL STUDIES-Seasonal Jobs<\/p>\n MATH-Story Problems<\/p>\n Attributes Game \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Tools for Measuring Time<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Looking ahead…<\/p>\n Tuesday-Homework will be going home. \u00a0Due Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n Wednesday-Library Book<\/p>\n Trial Spelling Test<\/p>\n Friday-2:00 \u00a0We will have a fabulous program sponsored by our PTA. \u00a0Nancy Worchester, a ventriloquist, has visited Howard for the past 4 years and the students really enjoy her performance.<\/p>\n Enjoy the week.<\/p>\n Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As the saying goes, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb” and March is doing just that!
