READING- Our new unit theme is ANIMALS<\/b>. \u00a0We begin this week with\u00a0ANIMALS WE KNOW.<\/strong>\u00a0 Yesterday we read “Mama Cat Has 3 Kittens.” \u00a0The story has a pattern to it. \u00a0After rereading the story today, we made a list of things kittens like to do. \u00a0(Looking for recall and comprehension from them) \u00a0This afternoon they will choose one kitten activity (verb) and write about it.<\/p>\n LETTER-“O \u00a0o”<\/strong><\/p>\n WORD-“Is \u00a0is”<\/strong><\/p>\n The students have been writing the letter\u00a0o\u00a0<\/strong>and the word\u00a0is\u00a0<\/strong>since September. \u00a0This is just where the letter and word come up in our curriculum.<\/p>\n MATH- We will be working with\u00a0Geometry.\u00a0<\/strong>Identifying shapes, making them, labeling them, and discovering ways that shapes fit together. \u00a0Shapes can even make\u00a0animals<\/strong>!<\/p>\n WRITING-We will work on\u00a0Narrative<\/strong> writing (telling a story).<\/p>\n SCIENCE-Magnets!<\/p>\n Our December Students of the Month are Newton Brown and August Gabrish. \u00a0Congratulations on making good choices with your words and actions. \u00a0Our previous Students of the Month are:<\/p>\n Sept.
