Another short and busy week!<\/p>\n
If I forget to post- Every Wednesday is Library Day. \u00a0Please have your child put their Library Book in their backpack on Tuesday nights. \u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Please have your child do this him\/herself. \u00a0By allowing the child to do this, you encourage responsibility and independence.<\/p>\n We are winding up a week of A \u00a0a \u00a0<\/b>and \u00a0The \u00a0the.<\/strong> \u00a0Adding last week’s letter\u00a0M \u00a0m,<\/strong> we now have\u00a0am<\/strong> to add to our Word Wall. \u00a0Please encourage your child to read, spell, write, and find these words.<\/p>\n Both yesterday and today they wrote a book using\u00a0I am the ________.<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0Please have them read their book to you. \u00a0When reading, watch for left to right progression and top to bottom.<\/p>\n Math-We are working with\u00a06. \u00a0<\/strong>Reading, writing, counting, and creating\u00a06\u00a0<\/strong>items. Check it out with them. \u00a0We also recognize many shapes in our everyday world. \u00a0Thanks for getting the “Plate of Shapes” returned so timely! \u00a0They are hanging in the hall.<\/p>\n Science-We have used our 5 senses to explore! \u00a0I hope to get outside tomorrow for some leaf exploration and observation.<\/p>\n Tomorrow my class will be taking the MAP test on the computers. \u00a0The test will be used to show us what they know and to chart their academic progress. \u00a0Lots of sleep and a good breakfast and lunch!<\/p>\n Tomorrow we have been asked to wear\u00a0blue<\/em> in response to taking a stand against bullying. \u00a0On Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 6:00, \u00a0there will be a city kickoff event at the Ford Performing Arts Center. \u00a0All are invited to attend this free event.<\/p>\n Keep up the reading at home. \u00a0Remember to fill in the October Owl Calendar and the Reading Log. \u00a0We are working on our reading\u00a0stamina<\/strong>. \u00a0We have discussed how by reading we get to be better readers! \u00a0we chart our reading stamina every day. \u00a0Today we had 2 opportunities to increase our stamina.<\/p>\n Thanks for your support at home.<\/p>\n Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Another short and busy week!
