Today we spent the morning planting a Vegetable Garden.\u00a0 The kids worked in pairs, each digging a hole, dropping in the plant and covering it up with dirt.\u00a0 Selina was the Water Girl, pouring a cup of water into each hole before the plant was planted.\u00a0 We planted TOMATOES, GREEN PEPPERS, AND CUCUMBERS.\u00a0 Some of the plants that I bought had small vegetables already on them because I wanted the kids to see what vegetable will come from each blossom.\u00a0 The kids were excited to show their garden to other teachers.<\/p>\n
I heard some great comments as we were planting:<\/p>\n
“I’ve never planted anything before.”<\/p>\n
“This is so much fun.\u00a0 Can’t I plant another one?”<\/p>\n
“I’m going to come back tonight and watch them grow.”<\/p>\n
“I love to dig in the dirt and plant things.”<\/p>\n

Stop by and check out the garden.\u00a0 I want to add a wooden sign.\u00a0 I just need to find another piece of wood.\u00a0 Mr. Elia has a good stake…I’ll find a piece for the cross part.\u00a0 The I want the kids to paint ‘OUR GARDEN” on it.<\/p>\n
Toads, habitats, butterfly hatching and releasing, tadpoles, catching roly-polys, etc…\u00a0\u00a0 Lots of things going on in here!\u00a0 I wonder what tomorrow will bring?<\/p>\n

Friday-Donuts With Dad\u00a0\u00a0 The kids are excited about this opportunity.\u00a0 We look forward to our Dad\/Uncle visiting.<\/p>\n
Monday-FIELD DAY\u00a0\u00a0 Have your child wear gym shoes and we’ll play some games outside.\u00a0 This is a PTA sponsored event.<\/p>\n
Tuesday-CLASS PICNIC\u00a0 Bring a picnic lunch for your family, a blanket and come enjoy lunch with us.\u00a0 We’ll eat from 11:00-12:00.<\/p>\n
