{"id":437,"date":"2014-04-02T16:27:41","date_gmt":"2014-04-02T20:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/?p=437"},"modified":"2014-04-02T16:27:41","modified_gmt":"2014-04-02T20:27:41","slug":"wednesday-april-2-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/2014\/04\/02\/wednesday-april-2-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday, April 2, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a few minutes so I though I&#8217;d post you a note.<\/p>\n<p>Students are rolling along quite well with their reading and writing. \u00a0They are able to write several sentences on a single topic and remember to begin with capital letters, put spaces between words, and end with punctuation. \u00a0WOW! \u00a0They are quite used to the WRITING PROCESS-Rough draft, Revise, Edit, and Publish. \u00a0Amazing writers and readers. \u00a0Thanks for your support at home.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for helping your child remember his\/her Library Book today. \u00a0We only had 2 people who couldn&#8217;t check out a new book because they didn&#8217;t have their Library Book. \u00a0Great Job!<\/p>\n<p>SCIENCE-Potatoes are soaking in water and we sure do wish they would sprouts some roots. \u00a0We keep watching, waiting, and hoping for some activity.<\/p>\n<p>Please continue working with math number awareness&#8230;creating number stories (using numbers greater than 15), writing the number sentences, greater than, less than, 3-D shapes, money (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar) and time (hour and half hour). \u00a0Haven&#8217;t they come a long way from the one-to-one counting of objects to 5 or 10??<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, April 9, is a LATE START.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, April 10, is LITERACY NIGHT. \u00a0Come and enjoy some fun activities connected to Reading!<\/p>\n<p>Coming up&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, April 17, is PTA Skating Party 4:30-6:30 \u00a0Details to come home later.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good evening.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a few minutes so I though I&#8217;d post you a note.
