Read together for 20 minutes every night.<\/p>\n<p>READ TO SELF- is moving along quite well. \u00a0I know that many students enjoy reading familiar books and I invite them to bring 2 or 3 favorites from home to keep in their book box. \u00a0They can leave them here to read during the day and switch them after a bit.<\/p>\n<p>READ TO SOMEONE-is another component of our Literacy Program. \u00a0We started this new adventure today. \u00a0We made an anchor chart so we will know what READ TO SELF and READ TO SOMEONE will look like.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">READ TO SELF\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">READ TO SOMEONE<\/span><\/p>\n<p>1. Sit knee to knee, elbow to elbow<\/p>\n<p>3. Keep on reading \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 3. Listen and look at the book while<\/p>\n<p>with a quiet voice \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0partner reads<\/p>\n<p>4.
