Happy Opening Day Tigers!! \u00a0Play ball \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Many students wore Tigers shirts or colors even though I didn’t get out the reminder to you last night. \u00a0With the arrival of Opening Day, spring must be on its way!<\/p>\n
Here goes our week…<\/p>\n
READING-We wrap Unit 8 with “What’s in our Garden?” \u00a0We will read\u00a0The Sunflower House<\/strong> and work from there. \u00a0Descriptive words as well as the cycle of a plant’s life will be lessons all week.<\/p>\n WRITING-The student writing in here is really impressive. \u00a0Good quality sentences and the sentences stay connected on a single topic-super! \u00a0They really enjoy “Free Writing” where they know that they can write about any topic!<\/p>\n MATH-We will focus on creating, drawing, and writing out story problems for addition and subtraction to reinforce those mathematical skills. \u00a0We will also continue with place value.<\/p>\n ie \u00a014= \u00a01 ten and 4 ones \u00a0 36= 3 tens and 6 ones<\/p>\n SOCIAL STUDIES-We will reinforce the need for rules in a society, class, workplace, driving in a city, etc.<\/p>\n SCIENCE-We are all set on potatoes. \u00a0Thanks! \u00a0Because of your involvement I was able to put all the potatoes on skewers and get them into water last Friday night so that we can watch the roots grow. \u00a0We will be recording our observations in our Science Journal.<\/p>\n Monday-All of my students have earned an ice cream sundae by making good choices all month. \u00a0Yummy! \u00a0Good work Kindergarteners!<\/p>\n March Pizza Hut Monthly Reading Logs are due. \u00a0Also, please remember that WEDNESDAYS ARE LIBRARY DAY.<\/p>\n We are entering our final report card marking for the year. \u00a0Can you believe it? \u00a0I will be starting final reading, writing, and math assessments after Spring Break. \u00a0Keep reading, writing, and working on math skills at home. \u00a0Home reinforcement is so helpful and crucial. \u00a0Thanks for your continued support on the home front.<\/p>\n Have a great week!<\/p>\n Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Happy Opening Day Tigers!! \u00a0Play ball \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Many students wore Tigers shirts or colors even though I didn’t get out the reminder to you last night. \u00a0With the arrival of Opening Day, spring must be on its way!
