I can&#8217;t believe it!!!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well&#8230;here we go for our last week together in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have started some of my mid-year assessments and I am pleased with what I am finding.  Math- counting and writing numbers are really coming along.  the kids say, &#8216;These words are so easy to read&#8221; (yippee!!) and their recall of information about turkeys or reindeer is great.  Many are giving me infor about BOTH turkeys AND reindeer!  Showoffs \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>READING COMPREHENSION-Assessing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WRITING- We&#8217;re going back to <em><strong>Opinion Writing<\/strong><\/em> and we&#8217;ll write about &#8220;The Gingerbread Man.&#8221;  Read a version of the story this weekend.  Discuss it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MATH-Area   &#8220;Are there enough to cover a certain area?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few fun activities will be included in the week.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today they are bringing home &#8220;Santa Going Down the Chimney&#8221;  project and they are quite pleased with how it all came together.  Let them show you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are also bringing home an <strong>ABC December Book<\/strong> that we just finished today for your reading pleasure. Lots of great discussions about the new vocabulary.
