A piece of paper is a 2D shape.

This Module will end on Wednesday and I will be giving an end of the Geometry Module Assessment on Thursday and Friday.

As usual, Math Homework Packet is due on Monday.

SOCIAL STUDIES We will continue with Community Helpers.

As always , I am really enjoying my conference time with my families. It’s never enough time though to share about my students! Their reading is coming along and most have already moved up a reading level. 🙂 thanks for your support at home. It is win-win when home and school work together. Reading with and to your child is the single most predictor of a child’s success. Turn of the video games and READ. Remember that your child will emulate what you do…you read, they will read. You play games with them and they will want to play too. I bought some new games for them and brought them out today. FUN FUN FUN! Matching rhymes, making silly rhymes and an INITIAL SOUNDS game. They had a great time playing games AND they didn’t realize that they were reinforcing the concepts, goals that I have been teaching. Sneaky…ha!

Monday-Friday BOOK BAGS due Check your child’s backpack for the day Bag is due.

WEDNESDAY-Library Book due

Keep dressing them in warm clothes. An announcement was made this morning, reminding them to wear boots, warm jacket, hat, scarf, and mittens/gloves. For the shoes, please send shoes that they can put on and tie. Lacing up 25 pairs of fancy shoes takes up way too much time in the morning. 🙂 Have them practice at home.

Have a wonderful weekend. As strange as this may sound, I’m not always that happy to see Fridays come because that means I won’t see my kids for a few days. Enjoy them at home.

Mrs. Smith

“Wisdom begins with wonder.”

                             -Socrates

Another week of learning and reminding each other of how to be good friends.
