This week begins our second semester!\u00a0 WOW, huh?<\/p>\n
READING\/WRITING Informational about POLAR BEARS.\u00a0 I hope we have enough days this week because the kids are quite interested in this topic.\u00a0 I am hoping to make a book for them to take home on Friday.<\/p>\n
SPELLING-Second semester begins weekly\u00a0Friday SPELLING TESTS.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n We begin with very<\/span> easy words.\u00a0 This week’s words include:\u00a0\u00a0cat\u00a0 sat\u00a0 hat\u00a0 \u00a0I\u00a0 see\u00a0 can<\/strong><\/p>\n If you will notice the words are from the very beginning of the year, some have the “at” chunk, and are words that they use in daily writing.\u00a0 I still have some that use a lower case “i” when writing the pronoun “I.”\u00a0 The pronoun “I” is ALWAYS capitalized.\u00a0 I also reminded that the word “hat” has an “h” at the beginning, not an “n.”\u00a0 Best to start now with flash cards (Dollar stores have 3 x 5 cards) to review.<\/p>\n MATH- We will begin Module 4, which deals with composing and decomposing numbers.\u00a0 We will use manipulatives, drawings, story problems, and number bonds to compose\/decompose numbers.<\/p>\n SOCIAL STUDIES-How do we learn about the past?\u00a0 Books?
