On Tuesday, I read a story to my kids about Martin Luther King, Jr.\u00a0 We then talked about what each of us might do to make this a better world.\u00a0 If these kids are the future, then we will be just fine!\u00a0 Their thoughts are fantastic-caring, thinking of others, sensitive to situations, feelings, very perceptive of those around, etc.\u00a0 Just precious.\u00a0 If I get time later, I will post their thoughts on how they would make the world a better place.<\/p>\n

Yesterday I put them in groups and gave them the assignment of “How would you AS A GROUP make the world a better place?”\u00a0 This might sound easy but they had to agree on the choice, which is not always easy for 5\/6 year olds.\u00a0 Each tends to think that their idea is the best.\u00a0 However, remembering what I just wrote in the above paragraph about how my kids work and feel, they got right to work, listening to all suggestions and then making their choice.<\/p>\n
