{"id":2324,"date":"2018-03-19T15:40:53","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T19:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/?p=2324"},"modified":"2018-03-19T15:40:53","modified_gmt":"2018-03-19T19:40:53","slug":"week-of-march-19-2018-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/2018\/03\/19\/week-of-march-19-2018-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 19, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think Spring is trying to creep into our days!!\u00a0 Sunshine always makes things happier.<\/p>\n<p>READING-Since we missed Dr. Suess&#8217; birthday because of a snow day, we will be reading one of his books each day.\u00a0 By Friday we will chart the books, identify our favorite book and tell a detail about the book that makes it a favorite.<\/p>\n<p>WRITING-We will be writing our\u00a0<em><strong>Opinion\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>about\u00a0<em>Spring!\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Today we made a word web about some &#8220;Spring Activities.&#8221;\u00a0 Tomorrow we will begin our writing about Spring Activities and why we like them.<\/p>\n<p>MATH-As you may remember, we are piloting 2 math programs this year.\u00a0 Since next week is a short week and we are getting close to finishing Module 3, I am going to combine the end of Module 3 and begin Module 4.\u00a0 Module 4 begins with Number Bonds, which we started today.\u00a0 I am sending home 2 Math homework packets today&#8230;just wanted you to know why.<\/p>\n<p>Another quote from Dr. Seuss&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>YOU<\/em><\/strong><em> have brains in your head.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>YOU<\/strong>\u00a0have feet in your shoes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>YOU\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>can steer yourself any direction\u00a0<strong>YOU<\/strong> choose.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think Spring is trying to creep into our days!!\u00a0 Sunshine always makes things happier.
