WRITING:<\/p>\n

We will continue with\u00a0Opinion Writing.<\/em>\u00a0 “I\u00a0 like _________ because _________.”<\/p>\n

We will write about favorite things, like favorite food, book, toy, etc.\u00a0 Have some conversation at home about their “opinions.”\u00a0 Have them answer in a complete sentence.<\/p>\n

For example, “What’s your favorite thing to eat AND WHY?”<\/p>\n

Student: “I like to eat cereal because it is crunchy.”<\/p>\n

(Opinion)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 ( reason)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Parent:”What’s your favorite game to play?<\/p>\n

Student: I like to play “Chutes and Ladders because I like sliding down the slides.”<\/p>\n

MATH-Adding 1 more to another number\u00a0 \u00a0This is such an easy one to practice at home.\u00a0 Please work with it.\u00a0 We do this every morning when we figure the lunch count.<\/p>\n

Student:\u00a0 “16.”<\/p>\n

Be prepared for rain?<\/p>\n

Please meet at the school at 9:00 am.\u00a0 I will be having a few words with the parents before we board the bus.\u00a0 Parents may carpool.<\/p>\n

Please remember that this trip is\u00a0\u00a0only\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> for KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS.\u00a0 NO YOUNGER<\/span> SIBLINGS ON THIS TRIP.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday is also LIBRARY BOOK DAY.\u00a0 We will be returning our books that day so make sure your child packs the book.<\/p>\n

I’m looking forward to the trip.\u00a0 The kids will LOVE the bus ride!<\/p>\n
