Welcome to my class! \u00a0I’m glad you are here. \u00a0We had a great morning and we were very busy! \u00a0As of today, we have 22 students in here.<\/p>\n

After hanging up our backpacks, we joined together on the carpet and got to know each other. \u00a0we talked about “living together” as a big family this year and things we will need to do. \u00a0We talked about taking turns and listening (not talking) when Mrs. Smith is talking, and doing what Mrs. Smith says to do right when she says it. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We did some\u00a0Work Time<\/strong> at our seats.<\/p>\n

We had\u00a0Center Time. \u00a0<\/strong>We opened our Playhouse, Wooden Blocks, and Foam Blocks. \u00a0Tomorrow I will open the Writing Center too.<\/p>\n

We went outside for\u00a0Recess.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We met\u00a0Coco, our cockatoo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We read a story titled\u00a0Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I usually post every week, sometimes a few times in a week. \u00a0Look for what letter, sound, word chunk, counting, etc that we will be working on for the week. \u00a0Please check my blog to keep you informed and up to date.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This week I will be assessing the students in the afternoons. \u00a0If you didn’t get a chance to sign up for a slot, please see me for a time.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow<\/strong> we will be having lunch<\/strong> in school. \u00a0Please pack a simple lunch for your child. \u00a0Label lunch boxes, as many look the same.<\/p>\n

Birthdays-<\/strong>You are welcome to send in a birthday treat on your child’s birthday. \u00a0Cookies, cupcakes, fruit kabobs, muffins, jello shapes, gogurts, any simple finger foods are acceptable. Not drinks are needed-I have a drinking fountain in the room.<\/p>\n

Supplies-<\/strong>For now, your child just needs a\u00a0backpack.<\/strong> \u00a0NO crayons, scissors, etc are needed. \u00a0I’ll let you know when things are needed.<\/p>\n

Snacks-<\/strong>I do like to offer the students a snack in the afternoons. \u00a0I offer everyone the same snack. \u00a0If you are running through Meijer, Sam’s Club, Kroger, would you grab a box of Goldfish, Cheeze-Its, Cinnamon Sticks, Oreo Snack Packs, etc, to donate to our class supply? \u00a0I would appreciate your donations. \u00a0For now I think I have enough tissue and wipes. \u00a0Thank you in advance.<\/p>\n

Dismissal-<\/strong>This week Kindergarten dismisses at 12:15 for the rest of the week. \u00a0Regular dismissal will be at:<\/p>\n

3:25-Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n

3:30-Miss Mohamad<\/p>\n

3:35-Mrs. Polgar<\/p>\n

We stagger the dismissal times to avoid congestion of all the students and parents dismissing at the same time. \u00a0So, if your student is in my class, please be outside by 3:25. ( I will probably be early this week, so 3:20 would be a safe arrival time for you.)<\/p>\n
