Today was Field Day and we had lots of fun. \u00a0Thank you PTA and all parent volunteers!! A special thanks to Mrs. Mosallam for organizing this, securing equipment, organizing rotations, and coordinating this event. \u00a0The students always remember Field Day!<\/p>\n

READING-ART ALL AROUND<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0Week 2 of Unit 10<\/p>\n

WRITING-Narrative Writing about “A Happy Moment.” \u00a0Have a chat about this topic over the weekend to help your child formulate some thoughts.<\/p>\n

SPELLING-og\u00a0<\/strong>chunk \u00a0\u00a0dog \u00a0log \u00a0fog \u00a0hog \u00a0jog \u00a0frog \u00a0smog \u00a0clog \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0him \u00a0 his \u00a0<\/strong>=10 words<\/p>\n

NOTE: Several of the students got several words incorrect today! \u00a0Reason…incorrect letter of a\u00a0capital p<\/strong>, instead of a lower case\u00a0p. \u00a0<\/strong>They wrote\u00a0siP<\/strong> , instead of\u00a0sip.<\/strong> \u00a0This week they will have the same situation with the\u00a0g. \u00a0<\/strong>When they practice the words, give them paper on which to write<\/span> the words, not just orally spell the words to you. \u00a0That way you will see if the letters are correct. \u00a0dog<\/strong> \u00a0 not\u00a0doG.<\/strong> \u00a0 Also watch\u00a0jog. \u00a0 jog,\u00a0<\/strong>not\u00a0JoG. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

SOCIAL STUDIES-Memorial Day<\/p>\n

Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL next Friday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. \u00a0If you are traveling, please be safe. \u00a0If you are staying at home, I’ll look for you at the parade.<\/p>\n
